Webster beats Cross in Matchplay

For the second year running Rob Cross was defeated in the secod round of the BetVictor World Matchplay at the Winter Gardens in Blackpool. This time around it was Darren Webster who proved a tough nut to crack as the Norfolk man recorded an 11-8 victory over the world champ. Webster who never trailed in the match at any point hit two 180s, took out a 76 finish and averaged 93.39. Cross hit five 180s, had an 88 finish and averaged 98.81.
