Voltage runner-up in Vegas

Gary Anderson fought back from 4-1 down to beat Rob Cross 8-4 in the final of the 2018 William Hill US Darts Masters at the Mandalay Bay Casino & Resort in Las Vegas. Cross made the final with wins against Ross Snook (6-1), Michael Smith (8-6) and Peter Wright (8-3).

Cross makes another final

Rob Cross beat Chen Gan Liu 6-0, James Wade 8-3 and Peter Wright 8-5 to make the final of the 21.co.uk Shanghai Darts Master in China. In the final Cross lost out to Michael Smith 10-2.

Webster beats Cross in Matchplay

For the second year running Rob Cross was defeated in the secod round of the BetVictor World Matchplay at the Winter Gardens in Blackpool. This time around it was Darren Webster who proved a tough nut to crack as the Norfolk man recorded an 11-8 victory over the world champ. Cross didn't play badly, in fact his average was higher than the previous round. It was just some missed doubles at crucial times late in the match wheras Webster was clinical when he needed to be. Webster who never trailed in the match at any point hit two 180s, took out a 76 finish and averaged 93.39. Cross hit five 180s, had an 88 finish and averaged 98.81.
