Coral UK Open (Minehead)

Rob made it to the last 16 of the Coral UK Open Finals in Minehead, losing out to eventual champion Peter Wright. In his match against the world number three, Rob hit three 180's, had a checkout of 104 and an average of 99.11 Only Raymond van Barneveld won more legs off Peter Wright during the finals. The defeat againsy Peter followed wins against Johnny Haines 10-5 and Ryan Searle 10-5.

Euro Tour 1 - UK Qualifier (Barnsley)

Rob missed out on a place in the German Darts Championship as he was defeated 6-4 by Mervyn King in the board final of the UK Qualifier in Barnsley. This followed wins against Shaun Griffiths 6-3 and Luke Woodhouse 6-2.

11th March 2017

Players Championship 3 (Barnsley)

Rob claimed his first PDC title after joining the tour just two months ago. The astonishing achievement came in today's Players Championship event in Barnsley with wins against Alan Norris 6-2, Max Hopp 6-3, Richie Burnett 6-2, Jamie Cavan 6-4, Raymond van Barneveld 6-4, Gerwyn Price 6-5 and Mervyn King 6-5. In his opening round tie against Norris, Rob took out finishes of 164 and 140. In the final Rob averaged 99.28.

Rob won £10,000 prize money.

12th March 2017

Players Championship 4 (Barnsley)

Rob made it through to the last 32 of Players Championship 4 in Barnsley this afternoon, losing out to eventual quarter-finalist Ian White 6-4. This followed wins against Brendan Dolan 6-3 and Colin Roelofs 6-0.

Euro Tour 2 - UK Qualifier (Milton Keynes) 

Rob lost out on a place in the German Masters Finals, losing out to world number 33, Jamie Lewis 6-3 in the board final of Euro Tour 2 UK Qualifier in Milton Keynes, having beaten Steve Hine 6-4 in the opening round.
