Suljovic beats Cross in Germany

Mensur Suljovic beat Rob Cross 6-2 in the quarter-finals of the German Darts Championship at Halle 39 in Hildesheim. The Austrian hit one 180, finishes of 114 and 96, averaging 100.13. Cross hit two 180s, a 142 checkout and averaged 92.72. Cross had made an impressive start to the tournament with a 108.13 average as he beat Kyle Anderson 6-5 in the second round. The win included five 180s and finishes of 107, 101 and 95. The world champion then went on to beat Michael Rasztovits 6-4 in the third round, hitting two 180s, a finish of 109 and an average of 102.19.

Cross narrowly misses out in last eight

Rob Cross made it to the quarter-finals of Players Championship 17 at the Barnsley Metrodome, losing out 6-5 to Daryl Gurney after wins against Jan Dekker, Tony Newell, Vincent van der Voort and Dave Chisnall. A full round-up is here.

Early exit at the Metrodome

Rob Cross headed home early from Players Championship 18 at the Barnsley Metrodome, going down 6-3 to Simon Stevenson in the second round following a 6-0 victory over Benito van de Pas. A full round-up is here.

Cross third in Champions League group

Rob Cross finished third in his group behind Mensur Suljovic and Peter Wright on his debut apperance in the Paddy Power Champions League of Darts at the Brighton Centre. Full report here.

Fourth round defeat at the Citywest

Following wins against Kevin Painter 6-2, Adam Huckvale 6-1 and Jimmy Hendriks 6-3, Rob Cross' run in Players Championship 19 at the Citywest Hotel in Dublin came to an end as he was defeated 6-4 by James Wilson. More info here.

Cross makes semis after Cullen whitewash

Rob Cross made it to the semi-finals of Players Championship 20 at the Citywest Hotel in Dublin with wins against Krzysztof Ratajski 6-4, Kevin Painter 6-5, Wayne Jones 6-1, Joe Cullen 6-0 and Kim Huybrechts 6-5. It was Danny Noppert that put an end to the run of Voltage with a 6-3 reversal as the Dutchman went on to win his first PDC title by beating Ian White in the final.
