Another opening round Grand Prix exit

Steve Beaton beat Rob Cross by two sets to nil in the first round of the Unibet World Grand Prix at the Citywest Hotel in Dublin for the second year running. Further info here.

Voltage makes last eight in Gottingen

Rob Cross made it to through to the quarter-finals of the European Darts Trophy in Gottingen with wins against Jeffrey de Zwaan 6-4 and Max Hopp 6-5. In the last eight Cross lost out to James Wade 6-3. Further details here

Clemens takes out Cross in opener

Gabriel Clemens beat Rob Cross 6-4 in the opening round of Players Championship 21 at the Barnsley Metrodome. Both players hit three 180s. Clemens took out a 68 finish and averaged 100.64. Cross averaged 96.31

Dekker records first win over Cross

Jan Dekker took out finishes of 96 and 84 as he beat Rob Cross 6-2 in the second round of Players Championship 22 at the Barnsley Metrodome. This was Dekker's first win over Cross in five attempts. Both players hit two 180s with Dekker averaging 95.44 and Cross a disappointing 90.65. In the first round Cross trailed 4-1 and 5-4 but fought back to beat Mickey Mansell 6-5. The win included a 120 checkout to make it 5-5 with the Irishman waiting on 38. Cross hit two 180s and averaged 92.00. Mansell averaged 92.17.

Cullen ends European Championship run

Joe Cullen beat Rob Cross for the first time on the PDC circuit as he inflicted a 10-8 quarter-final defeat on the World Champion in the Unibet European Championship in Dortmund. Cross advanced to the last eight with victories over Danny Noppert 6-4 and Richard North 10-2
